kevin31031961 Posted February 6, 2011 Share Posted February 6, 2011 Hi guys hope you can help but sit back its a long one! 03 disco auto td5 with at first flshing lights "S" and"M" had switch changed still does it only no flashing lights now just defaults into 3rd leave it 20 mins and its ok for a few days, had it on the computer shows nothing had the xyz switch changed still the same. I went out last week the hill descent and several other lights came on did a full reset then it was ok and parked up for 3 hours drove then 20yrds and the car defaulted into 3rd did this then 9 times reseting every time by stopping the car locking leave for 5 mins and start up again!!! 9 times arrived at my friends left it for 10 mins and it hasnt done it since, the garage are great but they as i are mistyfied I've had the loom checked as well but still it persists now i was going to tour with my caravan round britain this year but dont fancy being on a lowloader, i have tried 3 garages now all the same result i even tried a main dealer which cost £380 and its still doing it Help please Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anderzander Posted February 7, 2011 Share Posted February 7, 2011 I've not had the same problem - but I've used Pete from Bell Auto Services just outside York and he's a bit of a specialist in Land Rover ECU's.
