RoaryV8
Along with everything else thats breaking on my RRC there no is oil leaking out of the rear diff pan, Seems like its hit a rock at some point but only seems a small split/hole. Is it worth just welding the hole up? or a lot of messing about replacing the pan? Once its fixed a set of guards i think are in order
Bowie69
You may be able to patch it with welding, do it carefully, gear oil will burn/explode if got hot enough Best solution is to remove half shafts, diff, (this you would do anyways to weld the pan, right...?) then pull the axle off, and get an heavy duty pan from Gwyn Lewis and weld that on -no need for a guard and dirt cheap really, just your time, and a good weld
RoaryV8
Yeah of course would be completely stripped before hand, ill see how big/bad the split/hole i and go from there, if its too much then a new pan is in order, Just seems like a right pain to do, everything stripped just for a small hole Oh well more on the list of things to do, Might be able to pop down next weekend for that T/Box but wil let you know nearer the end of the week
