Assuming RHD vehicle, it's in the black plastic panel above the driver's footwell. If there is a hole there, the bits that hold the socket in have broken off and it's behind the black plastic panel above the driver's footwell :)

Not sure if LHD are in the driver or passenger footwell but I would imagine one or the other.

Thanks very much for this information and as you point out it is in the exact spot. Can you advise if the Quicklynks T69 will communicate with the vehicle (OBD2), as it just returns comm error every time I try to talk to the vehicle. :(

I don't know what that is, but as far as I know the D2 is not compliant with OBDII - I think Testbook and its descendants are a proprietary system. If you want a cheap(ish) DIY tester you could try a Nanocom or Hawkeye. The real deal (IDS full dealer spec) knocks a hole in £15,000...
