Bluemoon
hi, I'm after a way to charge my sealed batteries while on the move, 12v 12ah and 12v 24 ah , which are used for the kids ride on toys. On top of the batteries they say not to charge more than 4ah or permanent damage can occur. I've looked for plug in cigarette chargers but can't find any, I need to limit the charge to 4amps, is there a simple way to do this, cheers for any help, Brian. reb78
What about an inverter and then just use the charger you would normally? No idea if thats a good idea or not!
Bluemoon
yes that's an option, but also waste of energy . I was wanting to just be able to slow charge overnight while at the caravan( no mains electric), I thought I might be able to bypass the inverter with a bit of simple circuitry, seems a waste to have 12v , change to 240v then back to 12v again.
