Took it out for a drive for the first time since fitting gearbox and clutch, Its now got what feels like a misfire , it was fine before the layshaft snapped at the end of january. Any ideas where to look now for this as nothing was touched in the engine bay. also having probs with the diflock lever it will lock the dif but wont unlock it? its a 95 3.9 v8 disco any help would be good as iam at the end of my Tether with this disco manythanks dru Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Range Rover Blues Posted May 3, 2011 Share Posted May 3, 2011 When new they were connected with a metal clip to the rear engine "lifting" eye on a V8 and something siliar on the TDi. They are "packaged" with the engine and transmission unit for assembly and secured to keep them in the right place/right height during service.
