PieEater3142
Sorry for more questions on wiring. I have been looking through the MY2002 Defender wiring and Haynes manual and the LR Genuine Wiring Diagrams for 200tdi to try and figure out what the purpose of the relay is on the TD5 which is connected to the hazards, it doesn't appear to exist on the 200tdi? Does this mean they are different switches? Is the flasher unit in the td5 hazard switch? Confused.... Sorry if these are silly questions, planning out a custom loom and just trying to rationalise as much as possible. Am putting all the new circuit diagrams into visio so will upload when I am done. Cheers, James

PieEater3142
Ok so it's the same flasher unit between the 200tdi and the td5? Bloody Haynes manual looks different, but wires are the same. Thanks
western
it may have LR part number PRC8876 on it, this is a 4 pin unit for towbar fitted vehicles http://www.numcat.ru/landrover/p/31/52886/ mine is a translucent blue plastic case Hella unit, but came in a LR Genuine parts box. PieEater3142
Awesome, yes I have this bit already, will put it in as the relay, why doesn't Haynes tell you it's not a straight forward relay. Thanks again western, you are the ultimate defender encyclopedia.
