300tdi rear door lock

Recommended Posts

I have an issue with my rear door lock on my 300tdi Disco.

If I use the Key to unlock i have to hold it to the left and then lift the handle.

When I use the solenoid the button pops up and then drops back down so i cannot open the door with the handle.

I suspect there is some spring in the lock that has broken but have no idea whether this can be repaired.

Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Peter

You may be looking for one of these...

There are many others on eBay too, and I'm vouching for this one in particular!

You might also want to be prepared for a fiddly job doing the replacement!!

i have done this job on 2 occasions. It is fiddly. One word of advice before you start. Map ever linkage and the angle of entry for the linkages. Especially the way it is locked in place. Trust me it will look completely different when it comes around to a rebuild. Personally I fond it helpful to photograph the original set up in detail before you dismantle.

Good luck

Hugh
