I'm completely rebuilding the Disco at the moment.

Having taken off the chassis, competed the patch welding and generally sorted it out, I thought - "How to do a proper job?"

Creative use of the Interweb led me to Birtley Building Products in Washinton, Tyne & Wear, where they media blasted it, galvanised it and powder coated it (and the cross member) for about £300 the lot.

Take a look at the photo - I would recommend them to anyone, but they told me they had never been asked to do the whole lot to a chassis before and had not had very many enquiries before mine.......

nice one, always good to add another company to the list of good ones.

is that a vw bus shell behind? looks like it would fit a disco chassis rather nicely.......hmmmm, would make a different type of camper - more like a 101 fc disco
