Wipers have a mind of their own...!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

The fuse kept blowing when I used my washers/ wipers (ok when used on their own), so I changed the washer pump, no joy, changed the wiper switch assembly, still no joy, then I changed the wiper motor, washers packed up completly and the wipers now have a mind of their own, intermitant isn't, they do not turn off when err.... turned off, just keep going for ages or until I turn off the ignition.....

Been like it so long now it's amazing what becomes the norm....

Any pointers...?

Cheers

Dave.

I would try changing the switch on the steering wheel as that is the place that it can get power from and it should cut the power when asked to or the wiper relay which is behind the fuse box and is red, it may also be faulty, Relay first as it should not cost so much.

Regards

Frax ;)
