lol yeah i tried those, its all the little things, its always the little things.

Just done all oils and filters took me 4 to 5 hrs due to a serious back problem, not impressed.

Bought new pads to go on all round went to fit yesterday and cant get wheels off as locking nut remover is split due to previous owner and some of the lock nuts are rounded so looks like it might be a BFH and chisel job, not looking forward to that with a bad back.

Good news is local Land Rover ( headache specialist )has ordered in a new nut remover for me to collect this morning and has a set of se cond hand nuts for me.

Also the cable for the High / Low gear selector has snapped, £138 for new one OMFG.

But they have a good second hand one for me for £30 but you know what sod it while its broken im going to throw in the kit from a D1 and retro fit the diff lock instead.

Not forgetting the fuel pump with labour costs and new battery i had in march,

and the scum that hit the car on xmas eve last year and drove off after smashing it up whaile no one was about so had to claim off my own insurance, which the repairer didnt do right then went bust so waiting for it to be collected again to get done right this time....i hope.

AAAAND BREATH. LOL

Well today got off to a great start, picked up the new key for the locking nuts but while i was at the garage i spent 20 mins with the mechanic trying to find a socket to get over the covers on the nuts, long story short lent the sockets off a mate and i got all the buggers sorted on all four wheels.

So after all that effort and making my back infinately worse than it already is ( thank god for pain meds ) i jacked up the rear to find the wheel was stuck on so 30 odd kicks round the rim later off it pops ( so did back ) remover calliper only to find i cant get the new pads in and back on so seeing as the old ones are pretty good they went back on.

While i was at it i decided to give the front pads a swap as these are the worse warn, how wrong was i.

First i managed to snap the addapter for the socket whaile splittin said socket at the same time....pop over to mates again for few more tools....( all mine were stolen from the shed at my mams house as i didnt get round to picking them up )..... only to find that i cant get the bloody nuts out to remove the calliper in the first place, so 3 hours later with ever increasing back pain i sack it fit everything back clean up more than a little pi**ed off with todays events, even more so as i cant afford to put it in the garage to get it done at the moment.

So to sum up, my backs even worse than it was when i started ( no suprised really ) breaks still work but didnt get the new pads in although im glad of the chance to sort the wheels as if id got a flat on the motorway with the old locking nut and no bigger sockets id have been buggered totally, i did manage to change all the filters and engine oil mind, just need to fix the seal in the rear axle and then change the fluids and ill be happy....ish.

I really do love my Landy.
