Bigant
Hi The process of turning my trialler into a winch challenge truck is moving forward very slowly and I have now bolted my 8274 in place and I am now in the process of sorting out the wiring. Before I go ahead and order the cable I need help in deciding the position of the solenoid. At the moment I have adapted the original Warn solenoid bracket and I have attached the new solenoid next to the two button external control buttons for the winch. My concerns are that the solenoid is very exposed in this position, should I be concerned? Where have others positioned the solenoid? Thanks for your time Bigant
Dave W
Assuming you are using an albright solenoid, the most common position these days seems to be on the end of the motor using the gigglepin kit. It gives the solenoid some protection (compared to being on the front of the motor).
