ejparrott
my follower for the press tool is a smidge over 30mm, thats the spring bush. IIRC chassis bushes are the same.
SeriesEwan
rear chassis ones are the same, fronts are different units but not sure about their diameter
RobotMan
SIII I believe are all the same diameter spring and chassis but are either chassis rail wide or spring eye/rear hanger wide. Some I & II where narrower diameter but couldn't say which.
ejparrott
Wouldnt that require bent shackles if the bushes were different widths? Chassis bush are same length front and rear, and front and rear springs re the same width
SeriesEwan
no the front shackles have a distance piece in them to compensate for the gap
RobotMan
Military front spring shackle as fitted to my Landy on Monday. Not very clear but they are stepped in at the spring end.
ejparrott
I've just had one of those penny dropping moments....I've been having brain-fail....the rear spring hangers are welded under the chassis rails and are narrower...the front are not...this I know because I wanted 88" rear spring hangers welding onto the 109 chassis as recovery mount points before it was galvanised...which they forgot but hey. So yes..now that brain is working...front bush is different!....If I remember, I'll have a measure of the 109's front chassis buch when I go in the garage in the morning, see if tis different.
