zim Posted September 24, 2011 Share Posted September 24, 2011 I've had an issue with the high pressure pipe going into my steering box, basically the bottom of the LR metal pipe broke off, meaning the lower O ring was no use. So being in a bit of a rush i've decided to make one up (well, it's an excuse to have a tinker on the lathe ! ) First attempt (had an issue with the ID of the internal hole being too much and so the O ring groove couldn't be deep enough - oops) Second attempt, but yet to be tested. stretch121 Posted September 24, 2011 Share Posted September 24, 2011 think that may be why mine is leaking but i have yet to take all the gubbins out the way to look, hope the garage will confirm when it eventually gets booked in for rectification work following bodged repairs after i was hit by some scrote.
