ricky tango
hey people, who can figure this out for me? ive been using this site / google and paddocks as a combo to get where i am (and thats still no further than when i started) ive got a rrc k plate 3.9 i am replacing the alternator after killing it the weekend before last , ive got that in the cart and moved on to the belts my car has three belts on it v belt crank to water pump v belt crank to power steering pump multi groove crank to pas to alternator so has anyone an idea on part numbers hoping someone has changed theres and knows them thanks guys
Range Rover Blues
Nope but I remember the part numbers being misleading. Depending what alternator you have they are different and as i had an 80 amp unit they didn't fit. Also it kept eating new Vee belts until I fitted a 13mm wide belt in place of the 10mm. I havn't done much to Blue in 3 years, I'm all TDis now and the LSE is an interim engine with serpetine belt, so I'm badly out of practice. ricky tango
i got a feeling they'll be coming off and i'll be taking them to the auto factors on the weekend then
Range Rover Blues
Best way TBH, that's what I ended up doing. The Halfruads book was a bit of a red herring TBH and IIRC I had to compramise, the length I wanted was in between 2 (could have been the oddball alternator). Best of luck.
