88 inch of pure pleasure
Right I have a td5 discovery as the story goes the clutch has been slipping for a while but only now n then.anyhow it started to make a chattering noise a friends made similar noise (almost like a heat shield rattle) it turned out to be the flywheel to this I didn't mind as I could change it during the clutch change.but last night while driving home as I let my foot off the gas it started with a vibration and a noise asif someone had tipped a bag of spanners in something important,no lights illuminated until the engine died (just asif I'd turned the key off not sudden)and now it won't turn ova asif seized! But oil water temps were all good! Sumone said the flywheel may have collapsed but it died slow not a sudden stop.anyone heard or had anything similar thanks Paul
Off Road Toad
It is possible that the flywheel has broken up and taken out the crank position sensor. if this is broken the engine will shut down. It is also possible that pieces of the flywheel are jammed up preventing the engine from turning over. Steve
