Wes
Hi all. I have a 1986 90 with a Disco 1 rear axle. I need to do some work on the axle but obviously my 90 parts book does not help. Could somebody scan or send copies of relavent pages including brakes from their Disco parts book. Will cover any postage and paper costs. My local parts supplier has closed down otherwise he would have lent me his book to copy. I only want the pages that show shafts and diff and one that shows the hub with brakes. If anyone can help I will put Email or address in my profile. Thanks in advance. Wes

Wes
Hi Fozsug. Many thanks for diagrams ,much appreciated and justb what I needed. In answere to Marrans question. I have a whine and vibration from the back axle in fifth gear at about 50 mph which gets progessivly worse. If I have to strip the axle the diagrams will be a good help. Marten
Have you checked the rear propshaft rear UJ for wear. This is a common source of Disco 1 rear vibration and noise. I have replaced mine 3 times in 240k miles.
Boydie
Better still replace the rubber joint with a needle bearing universal joint, several up-grade kits are available. Why LR ever used the rubber joint I will never understand, I thought only Layland Mini's used them.
