Recommended Posts

hi

looking for some advice want to carpet the inside rear load space, seatbox and bulkhead but unsure do i glue direct onto metal or onto plywood ?

have seen a lot of gel backed auto carpet but its a bit costly dont really want to use house hold carpet i.e. foam or rubber backed.

can i use flotex kitchen carpet

what adhesive can i use for sticking carpet to metal or wood ?

any help or advice welcome

Roy.

Look no further than http://www.megavanmats.com/. I used them when converting my van to a camper. They supply proper high temperature adhesive (so the carpet will not fall off once the sun shines onto your car!) and proper unbacked lining carpet which will stretch around contours - OK, I know there are not many contours in a LR but think about the filler box and the rear lamp covers. You should be able to do a really nice job with the right materials.
