stuck Posted March 27, 2012 Share Posted March 27, 2012 Gent's, Does the standard auto fitted to a RRC have a central diff lock of any description? Transfer boxes only seem to have high / low ratio selector? I'm thinking of building a new CCV truck & would like to go auto but as you can tell I know sod all about them. Ta, Mick. zim Posted March 28, 2012 Share Posted March 28, 2012 Mick, The box only has one drive shaft coming out of it, 4 forward gear and 1 reverse. The transfer box then selects either High or Low. Roverdrive Posted April 13, 2012 Share Posted April 13, 2012 Mick I'd strongly recommend a sump guard arrangement to protect the casing of the BW xfer box, as they don't take kindly to being hit by rocks! I used a piece of chequer plate, and while it now conforms to the shape of the xfer box rather than being straight, the casing has not suffered any damage.
