barriesheene
Hi guy's and gals. I've gone through 2 headlight bulbs in two weeks ?? Its always the same headlight, offside, and the bulb is actually exploding. As in the glass of the bulb is actually blowing apart. I've not had problems before. I have got a switch wire going from this headlight to the relay for the roof bar lights but the current drain thro this should be minimal. I'll try and measure the draw latter when it stops raining. Any one else had this ?
Tanuki
Is there any way that water can get in? Through a crack or stone-hole in the front glass perhaps? Water dropped onto the envelope of a lit Halogen bulb is almost guaranteed to shatter it. --Tanuki
barriesheene
Thanks Tanuki I'll have a look. It has been really wet here lately.
fozsug
Even heavy condesation will cause it, if the glass seal is u/s or you havent put the rubber cover on the back after changing the bulb

barriesheene
No chip, just broken glass on inside from bulb blowing. Glass removed and resealed. See how to post.
