DrRob
As above, how's the best way to go about it? It's the "boot" passenger side. Got angle grinder dust damage I assume it's remove inner seal, remove glass, fit new glass, refit seal. Do I need to use any sealing compound? Cheers Rob
duncmc
Hi Rob. I thought that the seal was all in one piece. Its probably best done with two people. One outside to catch it, but if you are replacing it anyway I supose thats not too crucial. Its a bit like taking a windscreen out I think, just steady pressure in 1 corner I think until it starts to move over the seal and then work around. I know what you mean about grinding dust damage, I have done that to my upper tailgate glass! I'll be interested in how you get on, as I need to take my drivers boot side out to do a bit of welding in the area. Good luck. Dunc
fozsug
Got both sides glass here if you need Rob. Bit off washing up liquid on the rubber and it will pop out. Getting back in i use some strong nylon string and feed it round , like on a windscreen.
