Phil
Following on from the headlight puzzle, I've just noticed the driver's door window doesn't go all the way down. It's an electric mechanism ('02 110 CSW). I've popped the door card off and had a quick look, but nothing visible. Any ideas about this one? Phil. western
function it with the trim panel off, then you should see if anything is restricting the drop or maybe the motor is giving up.
Phil
Run it up and down with the door card off. Can't see anything wrong at all and the motor sounds fine. The window simply comes smartly to a stop about 5cm too soon! Phil.
western
anything stuck in the slide channel or out of alignment. or it might be a limit switch out of adjustment if they are seperate from the motor.
Phil
It's pouring down here so no chance of looking at this today. However, mysteriously, it seems to have fixed itself! Inevitably this'll be temporary so I'm resigned to getting the door card off again. I take it I need to remove the internal frame from the back of the door to get the best view of the mechanism, is that right? Thanks, Phil. western
the window regulator is bolted to the outer face [facing the glass] of the inner plate, so taking the plate off means you can't function the mechanism & watch it move.
