tidyshow
Hello again. I want to fit an amp and a small subwoofer to help improve the sounds in my 300TDi Are there any parts of the bulkhead that i canuse for routing the battery positive cable through. I thought it best to ask those in the know before delving in head first.
Nigelw
Better to run it to the fuse box I would have thought, live in there under steering wheel and you can have it fuse protected, also handy for going on to ignition switching feed too, just my opinion. But not doing it that way round myself, higher power head unit and 6X9s will be a lot better at the back compared with those 4.5" things, tight squeeze butt will probably fit a spacer between speakers and facia to keep it tidy, they do thick PU sheeting in hardware shops that cuts easy with a jigsaw. Be careful playing in the electriccery boxes, and running extra cables direct from batteries, recipe for disaster!!!
tidyshow
Been an ice installer for years, but never done a discovery. I ALWAYS install an inline fuse block near the battery but wouldn't use the fuse box, especially with a higher power amp. Thanks though. task
There are quite a few holes through the bulkhead, I put an amp in my 300 shape V8 running the cable through a hole near the O/S wing that exits into the compartment below the steering wheel.
