Igol
My tow bar is goingto be due some serious attention next year before the MOT. The strengthening plate inside the mount is now a pile of rusty flakes and theres other bits of corrosion around the arms. I could take it off and try to patch it but its going to be hard to chop out all the rot so I'm thinking of a new one. Yep could just take it off and from the title you'll see my occasional use for it, I dont think I've towed anything since I took a trailer to MPA many years ago, so I dont need anything fancy. Anyone any reccomendations? Without using the word 'britpart'
SPendrey
I bought an aftermarket one from Towsure for under £50 about 6 months ago, they seem to have gone up since to just about £70... all depends what you plan on spending I suppose? PFJones are under £80 and include a replacement tow ball too. I bet your local breaker (or an online one specialising in Land Rover) will have towbars too, but when I asked locally it was more expensive for a used genuine than a new aftermarket. Pinn76
If its a new tow bar that you want I have the one that I took off mine, as I was using it more like a plough. Make me a sensible offer and I'll find out postage for you to your postcode. I've got a Home brewed removable one on mine so surplus to requirements and it'll stop SWMBO nagging it's in the way. Igol
Thanks for the offer but I reckon the new postal prices will kill that option.
