Back on here to share my findings......My 300tdi Disco has been moded and with the usual Safari snorkel with air scoop...Now since this has been fitted its always faced backwards to avoid carp/rain etc going down the pipe but this past week ive run it facing forwards to see if it had any effect on perfornance...It did, my fuel consumption has gone from a pleasant 29mpg to and from work etc to 24mpg...and the only thing different was the snorkel top being turned to face forward..Odd dont you think Oh and a P.S the truck has still got the Canary under the bonnet but its begining to fade now thank God lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My mpg drops if I turn it foward, due to ram air effect, air gets forced in so more fuel is needed to keep fuel mixture right Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
