1991LRrrc
so a couple of days ago my brakes got stiff and the abs pump stoped working. but when i let some of the pressure out of the pump it started working again and the relay for the pum started to click non stop. what would cause this i been reading on some of the threads here and all of it seems like what i have the problem with
1991LRrrc
well after doing some tests that i have read on here. i have fixed my brake problem by hitting the pressure switch so something making the pressure switch stick
duncmc
Welcome to the forum. Faulty pressure switch maybe? Only a guess. If you have let pressure out, the pump would run again. It could be that you also got some air in and the system needs a full bleed. You say the pump relay clicks non stop. How frequently, every few seconds. Or every time you press the pedal etc? Is the pump relay faulty? Maybe.
1991LRrrc
at first when i let the pressure released it started clicking every second till i turn it off and after looking at it i tapped the pressure switch and it started working and the relay only clicks once
Snagger
Sounds like the pressure switch is sticking. When was the fluid last replaced? It could be dirt in the fluid or corrosion from water in the fluid.
