changread
Hi all I have a Td5 79000 mls late 2002 and have read removing or blanking the egr valve? will improve performance. If so does it harm the engine? if not what can I expect ? Could do with a bit more oomph when pulling up a long hill with the caravan on the back. rovernut
I removed the EGR from the 110 and did not notice any significant difference. However, if you also remove the catalytic converter and silencer you will notice a bit more free revving and a slight increase in performance. The biggest bonus is the sound that comes out of the tailpipe.
Anderzander
For more oomph get it remapped at somewhere like Bell Auto Services. For mechanical sympathy remove the EGR - all that junk going into the inlet can't be a good thing.
