evanmc Posted May 26, 2013 Share Posted May 26, 2013 I'm having an awful time getting a fuel pump for my 2.5 NA that does not leak or is built properly. Out of 3 pumps: - The first one leaked through one injector pipe - The next one leaked through the case - The next one didn't leak, but something was just wrong -- the pump would lock only 180 degrees out. I couldn't start the engine in either position. I'd chalk this up to my poor mechanical skills, but when I re-installed my slightly leaky pump, the engine started right up. What, if any, is the difference between a the Lucas/CAV units I see for sale at various locations and a "genuine" one. I'm assuming that they are all made by the same manufacturer, Perhaps I've just had a run of very bad luck. Thanks, -Evan- Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
