Darren Roberts
Hi Guys, Got a 1992 Classic SE (last of the hard dash) which has been bobtailed. Not had it out for a while and now when I lock it on the key the alarm goes off after about 15 minutes. It's gor a fairly new battery and all the door switches appear to be working ok. The fob (which as one with the red PCB LUCTXTJO ) got washed so it no longer works. The RED LED on the dash starts blinking a minute or two after the drivers door is locked with the key. Any ideas? Even on a quic way just to disable it in the meantime..... cheers Darren
duncmc
Has it got the alarm ultrasonic sensor in the headlining near the rear view mirror? They can go kerput. I had a similar thing with my 1993 when I got it, changing that part for another second hand one did the trick.
Darren Roberts
Hi Duncmc, Not sure - I don't think so. Fortunately I trawled the interweb and found that if you hold the key in the lock position for more than five sends before letting it return, it will disable the alarm. So all sorted for now.... thanks
