Big Pat
Hi. I am at my wits end. It wasn't a long journey. I am trying to rebuild the front hubs on my 1997 Disco. I, unfortunately, had to remove the lower swivel pin, which involved trying to remove the 16 year old, British countryside encased, Torx bolts. As you can imagine this did not go according to plan and I had to use heat and stud extractors. This is all fine. You expect this sort of thing on a vehicle of this age. However I cannot find replacement bolts. I have tried removing them from a RR of similar age but with the same predictable results. The only place I can find any state that LR will only sell them in packs of 10, at a total of £48.00. I could buy a second hand hub for less. Having replaced and re- assembled the whole swivel ball I really don't want to have to strip it down for the sake of two bolts. The part number of the offending items is RNE219. I do not know the specification of the bolt to try a bolt manufacturer. I have attached a diagram. The bolt I'm after is number 27. Any help would be very much appreciated.
