Matt BADLRC Posted January 25, 2014 Share Posted January 25, 2014 My 98 V8 discovery won't idle properly. Sometime it idles OK when cold sometimes not.Its worse when its hot, it only idles at about 500 but seems a bit lumpy. Ignition leads, plugs rotar,cap, crankcase breather filter etc all recently new drives and revs OK just an idle problem. Cleaning the idle valve fixed it for a short while, tried cleaning again yesterday made no difference. Anybody had any issues similar to this and what fixed it. The adjuster was under an alloy cap near where the flexible pipe from the air cleaner goes into the plenum but it was a long time ago when I did it. I had to pierce the cap & lever it out.
