Souster
Hi all Some time ago i was advised to replace the brake servo on my 300tdi 90. Well i finally got round to doing it tonight in the pitch black and rain - enjoyed myself though. The brakes now are a huge improvement, infact twice as good as previously and are now safe. I never thought i would say im impressed with land rover brakes. The only thing thats still a concern is that the pedal isnt sinking on startup. But as soon as the pedal is pressed a second time it sinks. Is this normal and acceptable? Thanks again
qwakers
yes the vacuum pump takes a second or two to create enough vacuum in my experience.
Souster
Thanks for reply. Yeah i thought that too. But how come on most vehicles, including the same model as mine... The pedal sinks on start up?
qwakers
The pump is probably a bit worn
