rovernut
My mate asked me to pop in today and give him some ideas on his non starting issue. When I removed the distributor cap I noticed the rotor skipping up during rotation. When I got hold of the rotor to check how much play there was, I could lift it about 10mm and whilst lifted could turn it through 360°. What do you guys think has parted company or broken? zardos
Probably the spring clip in the rotor arm as seen
dave88sw
Sounds to me like the distributor is knackered. Take it out and when you do, shine a light down the hole and check the drive gear, I've known one strip the gear.
