Bish66
Chaps, My 110 tank has split and I have a new one arriving today along with all the seals, screws, senders, and returns. My question is I am able to build the tank up with the senders and return section before fitting......obviously the return pipe as that is at the top of the tank but can I pre-fit the sender unit into the tank and then raise the tank into position? I will also be sanding, priming and coating the tank and cradle to ward off the rust for as long as possible. I have a few tins of black Hammerite at home will this do the job?? Many thanks for all your help. Bish
Giles
you have to fit the sender once the tank's in place - there's not enough room between the chassis rails for the tank with sender fitted to squeeze thru
eds
Cover it in a thick coat of waxoyl too especially between the bottom and guard where water settles.
