i wanted to do this, but gave up as it just looked like too much hastle.

i put my second battery in a marine battery box, in the loadspace...

this solution wouldn't suit everyone, as it does rob a bit of loadspace but as i wanted the power at the rear of the vehicle anyway, it made sense for me...........

i've seen (wavey might still have pics when he notices this thread) a battery tray welded in where the washer water tank is. washer water was moved to a milly 110 bottle mounted somewhere else (cant remember). there is room to fit a normal TDi batt this way even if it doesnt look deep enough, it is.
