Stephen Posted November 11, 2006 Share Posted November 11, 2006 I would like to fit a second battery UNDER the bonnet of a 300tdi while in a 200tdi there is room readily available. freeagent Posted November 11, 2006 Share Posted November 11, 2006 i wanted to do this, but gave up as it just looked like too much hastle. i put my second battery in a marine battery box, in the loadspace... this solution wouldn't suit everyone, as it does rob a bit of loadspace but as i wanted the power at the rear of the vehicle anyway, it made sense for me........... I've got a non-ABS Disco with a Safari Snorkel fitted and this removes the need for the front intake on the airbox as it's blocked off when you fit the snorkel. Andy Posted November 12, 2006 Share Posted November 12, 2006 i've seen (wavey might still have pics when he notices this thread) a battery tray welded in where the washer water tank is. washer water was moved to a milly 110 bottle mounted somewhere else (cant remember). there is room to fit a normal TDi batt this way even if it doesnt look deep enough, it is.
