laro4x4 Posted June 4, 2016 Share Posted June 4, 2016 Hello, I have a tired 300 tdi engine with 590.000 km in a Discovery. It’s my “workhorse vehicle” and most of the time I’m pulling heavy trailers. I’m having plans for rebuilding the engine. I have already bought a used crankshaft and connecting rods from a 2.8 International engine that I want to use in the 300 tdi engine. The parts look very good. I have to rebore the cylinders for fitting the larger 2.8 pistons. So I want to order 4 new pistons and a head gasket. Which other parts do I need for fitting the 2.8 crankshaft in the 300 tdi? Where is the best place to order all the missing parts??
