Could I have a bad earth

Recommended Posts

Ok so when trying to start my 300tdi converted 90 for the first time today it turned over a few times but never fired. Other times it wouldn't do nothing. Also I had the hazards on checking they worked and when I opened the door they went off but on shaking the vehicle they came on. Currently I have an earth from battery negative to back of transfer box and another from battery to starter as well as the main earth from the battery to chassis.

Get a jump lead and connect it to the battery neg and to the engine and start it. If it starts better then you neg lead needs looking at. Do the same to the chassis to check that one. On 45 the neg goes from the battery to the chassis then on to the transfer box. The 110 only had one to the chassis so I added one to the transfer box.
