Shackleton Posted January 2, 2015 Share Posted January 2, 2015 A fellow D2 owner I'm trading some parts with just mentioned a mod I hadn't heard of, so I've searched here and found this thread amongst others that achieve the same thing, but nothing that mentions that the BMW E30 (that's late '80's / early '90's 3 series) coolant expansion tank is identical to the D2 item. It clips straight in. The difference being it has a low coolant sensor built into it. Another plus imho is that the max level mark is on the front rather than at the side. I haven't asked him about this but it looks to me like the bottom pipe is a bigger diameter than the D2 one. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also I think it's '88-'93 model E30's and some 5's and M cars with that particular tank.
