Thanks Just trying to weigh up the cheapest option, Rebuilders quoted between 12 to 1600 depending on what it needs doing, but then I will need to buy carb , alternator , fuel pump ect, this one has everything on so might be the cheaper option .So not sure weather to make an offer or not. Is there a link to your rebuild thread Mate ?

I'm useless when it comes to Engines,At the moment I am rebuilding a series 109, and have a 2.25 petrol engine that is at local Rebuilders to get a price for rebuild.Sen this one on EBAY Land Rover Series Defender 2.5 17H Petrol Engine Remanufactured | eBayNow are these a better engine then the 2.25, and would it be an Easy Ish fit, as in would I have to alter mounts ect or use different gearbox ??Thanks

First pic Drivers side adjusters seem to work as they should, but second pic on passenger side they dont work. Need to find pics of both sides to copy.

Thanks Mate, think I got the drivers side right from those numbers pic 1 but not sure about passenger side pic 2. adjusters work on drivers side but not on passenger.

Just about to fit front Backing Plates and stub axles but not sure if Plates are Sided or not, or does it not matter ??

Thanks Mate, Balls are new, Should I just pack it in there before I put stub axle on ? or should I put it in through the filer plug on side of housing ?

Its Rear Axle, stub has only the 6 holes

Just about to start putting axles back together, on my 109.Didn't notice this extra hole when I took it apart, there was only 6 bolts. Anyone know why this extra hole is there ? it is same on both sides. Stub has 6 holes

This is the best Ive got for now, I do have 2 new YRM footwells and now I need the end pillars and feet but not sure now that its reparable. Anyone had one this worse before and repaired it ?

Rebuilding series 109, just about ready to rebuild axles and got these kits Full Kit With Swivel Housing (LATE) | Swivel Parts | Front Axle | Axle | Series 2 and 3 | Parts & Accessories - Paddock Spares They do not have the bearings 244150 in this diagram, Swivel Pin Bearing Housing and Half Shaft - Except 109in V8 - Find Land Rover parts at LR Workshop now most come with 244151 but mine did not have this distance piece as its called. Front Halfshaft Bearing - Paddock Spares Confused now do I need 244151 or just 244150 ?? Thanks

Does not have the unleaded head , have offered 400 by message but no reply yet. will wait and see.

He wants £800 but open to offers, nit sure what to offer though.

Been in contact with the seller and he is going to do a compression test on it so will wait and see the results.
