  2. Hi there, Strange problem recently occured. Not used Landy (Disco 1 - 300 Tdi) as frequently as before lockdown. Now second ignition is switched on wipers instantly start independant of switch position. Relay is functional, feel it switching positions, rain stopped play so not checked beleive i must have perminant supply now to relay. Speed settings are functional, has switch failed? Haynes manual not very clear, does anyone have a clear drawing or some pointers on where to look for the fault. Trying not to rip the dash etc to pieces.
  3. Thank you... Never received a notification for this...
  4. Hi all, just found this thread... Changed door spring as it had snapped, but door will not lock, issue i had was that i have to physically pull up door release knob to gain access, now i have resolved this issue but the solenoid bounces... will not pull locking mechanism down but will release door. Any suggestions, changed solenoid with no difference.
  5. Hi there, Just replaced the viscous fan on my 300tdi discovery 1 with part number ERR2266. I was no longer getting characteristic roar on startup with old fan unit. Fitted new viscous fan, but outside temperature is 21°C engine was cold but still not getting characteristic roar on startup. Is the outside temp causing it to immediatly couple, was expecting 30 second roar then disconnection.
  6. Help... I know this topic has been done to death, so understand i will get very little response. I have read as many previous posts available to none members of this community. Issue i have is alarm is non functioning, previous owner had it unplugged from sounder. Had a few auto electricians have a look, most once they see its a landy wish me good luck and leave, those that have tried, soon gave up. So, central locking works fine, sticking locks that need some attention as they operate randomly when key fob is pressed or key turned in drivers lock. But i have no flashes of hazzard lights to say armed or dis-armed. From this point onwards, all hazzard lights flash every 5 minutes day & night untill the battery is completly drained. All door switches have been replaced. Personnally i feel its a ground connection thats missing, as when the door opens the courtesy light does not switch on, but will suddenly switch on whilst driving when it feels like working. I am at a loss where to start to diagnose the issue as the haynes manual isnt very clear and does not cover the alarm. I am even unsure if its the factory fitted alarm or one original owner fitted as im only the second owner. Trouble is everything is i beleive buried under the cubby box which is not easily accessable.
