  1. Go to http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/Dashconsole.html for a great prefabricated reinforced plastic dash. It is quite pricey (for some reinforced plastic...) but it looks the nuts!
  2. If you go to the Dash website, they make a lovely unit for about £62.50 delivered. It is black plastic with loads of space to fit the dials. switches, CD and CB where ever you want. http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/Dashconsole.html
  3. I have has this same discussion about my motorbike on a biking forum. From what I have been told, a number plate has to conform by having the BS Standard number, and the location of where it was made. BUT, if the plate is old (Ie, made BEFORE this ruling came into force) then this is not that case. My bikes and cars do not have these details on them, mainly because I get them made on on the interweb, and ask for daft comments instead, and they are all older then this ruling! None have failed the MOT on this. Yes, if you get an over zealous MOT examiner they could fail you on this, but you could argue that the plate was made prior to this ruling, hence the lack of information.
  4. My friends 110 needed a new offside bulkhead outrigger for the MOT as it was rusted. Instead of repairing he went to Paddock's and bought a new one. I used an angle grinder to remove the old one and another friend used his MIG welder to attach the new one, and it flew through the MOT with this. It did help that the welder works for the Suzuki dealership in Colchester and is a master welder... It is easier to remove the floor pan, but (as mentioned above) you will need new screws, and as far as I can tell, the floor pan is not welded down, just screwed with about 10 beefy bolts. For the cost of a new outrigger (about £30-35) you might as well replace the whole thing and it will last for years and years, better than a patch!
