Just so I'm not missing anything could you confirm how many letters digits there are on yours? Mine seems to be a Large letter S then 4 numbers then something that could be either a Large letter/ number/ or squiggle scratch by myself!

Guys I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to zoom and point it out, just taken fresh photos and it's clear on them.... but even my son can't see with the naked eye so at least I don't feel too stupid! haha

Well I genuinely don't believe it!!!! I swear I've just looked again and there is nothing there.... but you are both totally correct it shows on photos... how weird is that????

I fortunately know a guy But the UK log book has never been changed and even he can't turn a blind eye to it if there's no number and I havnt the fight number on logbook So need to find it, change with DVLA, then present both to him to be 'checked'

It was screwdriver, sandpaper and engine decreaser that caused it

Unfortunately no.... the marks are me scratching away dirt and rust in hope of finding a number as the location looks right.... but no joy

Hi all, Been a while so apologies for jumping back in with an info request... As mentioned in the past I've a 1990 defender with the non turbo Mazda SL35 engine conversion. Spent the last year emigrating to Portugal, brought the defender with me to register here however for the life of us we can't find the engine number for inspection. Checked the manual for location and still no luck.... Please anybody with experience of this engine or advice throw me some suggestions haha

OK.... update long time coming! Well no reply to my message, no sign of paint..... about to claim money back from paypal and then Friday morning it all turned up! All looks good and at half price it seems a great deal, just don't expect any communications or a fast delivery! Now I need some good weather

If I remember correctly there was a scam a while back were people paid via paypal then a few days later could cancel payment and get the payment back. I would suggest you check the paypal website for info and dont release the vehicle until you have been able to withdraw the payment from account and into your bank etc

Hi all I wasn't sure whether to put this in the wanted section or in here so apologies if this irritates anyone. The doors on my double cab are now beyond ignoring or saving so when I saw a new style 'all pressed steel' drivers door for sale locally at £100 I thought what the heck I'll have that. Since then Ive had a real shock at just how expensive these things go for on fleabay....... Wayyyyy out of my price range! So a plea for help is required seeing as my cries for help on here are normally answered..... Do any of you guys know of anywhere selling passenger or either second row doors 'all steel', I believe they were fitted to tdci onwards? Also if anyone is visiting a breakers anytime if they could keep their eyes open when trudging around for the above? Really appreciate any help and happy to make a donation if there is any success Thanks Mark

Surprised to see this thread as I ordered some of the Upol Raptor just two days ago! For what its worth I paid a LOT less than the usual £60/£65 for the kit of 4bottles and 1bottle hardener...... If anyone is interested I'll search out the companies details Will post the results/photos when done

I think Julian is probably very accurate with this suspicion......... 5years ago on buying my Piggy I saw and purchased a lovely box of shiney yellow britpart bushes to refit the whole vehicle....... They are still in perfect condition, Why? Because I realised my mistake once I had acquired some knowledge and experience so they are still on the top shelf gathering dust!
