Hi Paul
Do as freeagent says and change them both, you might as well change the flexi pipe at the same time.
It's guarenteed that it will let go when it's raining, dark, car full of people, going to the airport etc etc ......... you get the idea
If you get the parts and you got some tools and can wait till the 29th I'll do it for you.
Looked at the nuvi 350 yesterday it looks a nice unit, with good specs. Strangely enough Media Markt is the same price as Dixons but you get airmiles at Dixons so I'm going there next weekend.
Was actually in Munster last night, we've got some friends over from England for the weekend and they wanted to go to a German christmas market and apparently so they say Munster is the one to go to. Must admit though after five hours of trawling round in the freezing cold the novelty kind of wore off a bit untill the baked potatoe stall.

Hi Paul
Totally off topic.
But I'll be passing Munster over christmas, so if your around and up for a brew let me know.
Back on topic just got a tom tom 710 with a new phone contract two weeks ago, I gave the my old tomtom to my wife which I actually think is better than the new one. What is the cost of the sony units that you are looking at (too lazy to search). Don't forget media markt there normally a lot cheaper than anywhere else its just that the people who work there know jack **** about anything they sell.
JHQ, lived there many years ago.

Hi Paul
Try these numbers, they are the German rover club which is split into different regions of Germany. These are the guys who run the two clubs in your area.
Joachim Schmidt 053736949
Marc Reinelt 01725271483

Hi Paul
There is a LR guy in Essen never used him but he comes recommended, I'll dig his address out and send it on. There are a few LR garages/breakers(not main dealers) not to far over the border in Holland.
I've got two RR classics one from 76 and the other from 95 both in various states of change and various other relics.
The landrover scene is very clicky "I've got this and I've got that type of thing", there are a couple of clubs in this region but I don't know what there like, been meaning to go but never seem to of had any time recently. There is no option of legal green laning only pay and play(sounds like a hooker).
If your going home I've got a shopping list for you, mince pies, christmas puddings, iron brew etc.
The Rotterdam/Hull boat is definiatly not the cheapest unless you've got plenty of cash or not much time. Try www.transeuropaferries.com they go from Oostend to Ramsgate. Its three hours to Oostend in a landrover from the dutch border.
If you need a hand with anything let me know.

Hi Paul
I live on the border at Emmerich A12/E35 if you need any help let me know. I get most of my parts sent across from England, if I need something quick/overnight I get them sent from a place in Holland.
You will find that most LR garages/parts places over here will do there best to remove vast amounts of money from your bank account and then make out there doing you a favour.
What are you doing in Germany ?

Anybody changed the wings and grill on a classic to discovery front end. I can remember reading an article a few years ago so I know it's been done. Wondering how much work is involved and what about the inner wings etc.
Cheers.

Hi Jpk
"I quite like the idea of the tent on the front with the ladder on the winch bumper if for no other reason than it allows a quick getaway if undesirables come knocking"
Dont want to scare you but if they come knocking then they have probably already made sure that you cant drive away by blocking your wheels before they knock.
Spent a year in driving through africa so if you need any tips or tricks drop me a line, personnally would have as little wieght up top as possible, all we had on the roof was a tent and maybe some wood for cooking with if we came across any.
Whatever happens your sure to have a great time and meet all types of people, ranging from complete "Persons Resembling a Pink Starfish" through to robbing twats and somewhere between all this are some genuine people who are doing the same as you are.
