can i fit a 200 tdi engine onto my lt85 that is on my 90 it did have a v8 but even with lpg i cant get the economy or range so with sadness i have gone for a 200tdi out of a disco thanks mog

hi you will find the lt77 from the disco has a longer bell housing and the gear stick is in a different place check out ashcroft transmissions website pete

just for all you 200/300 TDI lovers don't forget that from 2012 you wont be able to drive within the M25 as you wont meet the emissions.But if you keep the V8 and put Lpg on it you will be clean and green. my v8 only runs on Lpg and i love it The sound of a v8 is greatttttt :D mog

Hi i have just got a 1985 v8 90 (last 3 landrovers were discos)it currently only runs on LPG, i have got a kit to rebuild the carbs.i find it gut less it hates hills i no running on lpg causes some loss in power but this seems really bad it is running on 235/85/16 are they the problem or is it likely to be the 150k the engine has done. thanks pete

well it looks like i will use efi then as it happens i have got a disco v8 with a efi and my series will need a full rewire as their is not one wire in it. I will have to merge a 110 loom with a disco loom good job i am not colour blind MOG

Hi guys Need some help i currently own a series 2A which is in bits and a 200tdi disco which sits on a 4" lift with +5" shocks.do i sell the disco or use it as a donor.if i use it as a donor how far would you go. 1 : do i strip it down and swap things to my series and keep leafs. 2 : do i chop it down to 88" keeping the coils fit series out riggers and cross member.(and hope mot station do not spot that it is no longer a 1968) Thanks Mog

well after starting her up she leaked oil out big style so its coming out and i am going for it. i am going to fit 200tdi lt77 r230 and disco axles. mog

Hi my wife has just bought me a 1965 series 2a swb it was a 2 1/4 petrol but some one has dropped a 2.5N/A in it can any one tell me what they are like as i am thinking of putting at 200tdi in it. thanks mog
