  1. Anyone got a part no for the above? Got one off a breaker ready to go on the bay of E but would like to have an idea what it's worth.... Cheers Jon
  2. Bloody iPhones. John, if I could quote in red I would do so to your last comment, which was exactly my point.
  3. No numbers John. It stated it in the ad and on inspection, no numbers. It could have been a new replacement to start with?!
  4. So with all the above negativity about chassis and vins being sold together could I ask your advice? I bought a rotton G plate 110 hardtop earlier this year as well as a used td5 chassis in unbelievable condition. The chassis was from a reputable breaker, sold with a receipt. The ad clearly stated that the chassis had no numbers and was being sold as a replacement or upgrade. I stripped the 110, keeping only the axles, id and roof strangely with a view to building up the 110 on the new chassis. My circumstances have changed and now I'm selling up but I'm worried how to sell as it might come across as dodgy although the 110 is sorned in my name. Would the best bet be to scrap the 110 via the DVLA and sell the chassis with no id or hope to find someone with ideas to build one? It's a bit hit and miss what people accept as genuine.
  5. Cheers all. Puma dash and bulkhead with td5 loom, gauges, switches etc. I have a plan.... I realise its a lot of work but the fiddly bits are more my thing than the big oily bits to be honest. Sounds a bit gash to start bending stuff to fit especially since it could interfere with the seatbox so I'll have to rethink the gearbox. My transit has an MT82 6 spd which I don't mind at all so that could be the way to go Mo, failing that its an auto job. Jon
  6. Cheers but I want something different than was in my series 3.
  7. I'm planning on fitting a puma dash to my td5 110 build but I'm unsure what box will fit without the gear lever hitting the heater. I've been told that a discovery r380 would bring the gear lever back but will it make contact with the seatbox and what happens to the diff lock lever? Help!!!!!!!! Cheers Jon
  8. Bad luck mate. I'm from Grinstead so I'll keep an eye open. Jon.
  9. Baby shmaby....I'll be looking for an excuse to get out of the house! Not too far from here mate so no worries.
  10. Derrrrr. Give me the address and I'll get it for you. Muppet. I must say, I'm a bit put out you haven't called and asked......
  11. Could be but there is an identical one in/on a S2 down the road from me. I never see the owner so haven't asked. Jon
  12. Ok, had a bit of playing time today so did some taking apart. I got to the gearbox area and took off the overdrive. Cleaned it up and there it was grinning at me. Fairey Winches. Tavistock. Devon. I think the lever arrangement has been messed with as the position is different from a standard Fairey and a bent rod has been welded to the bit that pivots. So, an anti climax but thanks for looking/contributing words of wisdom. The big 'R' on the knob is still a mystery though.... Jon.
  13. Going by the above the Roverdrive would the obvious answer I suppose??? The lever comes out of the seatbox on the vertical face to the right of the tunnel. cheers Jon
  14. It's deffo an overdrive mate but not sure what make. I haven't got the time to look for a manufacturers plate yet but just wanted to get a service kit on order. Thanks Jon
