lots of lovely plastic trim on that vehicle in the video, I'm sure that car will still be around after 20 years of hard use and abuse
-
been meaning to check it out as I'm down that way quite often. is it any good?
-
a tenner says it was the same guy, probably addicted to the the media coverage and was getting on the vip list for all the clubs in Aberystwyth

Fridge, please don't post those landy snuff pics on here, its enough to make your dinner come back up

you will always have a market when you overprice something. people pay a bit more because they think they are getting a bit more. in Nene's case, you are probably getting more than you bargained for

8 speed box? gears 1 - 3 to replace the necessity of a low range box, gears 4 - 8 for ordinary 'on-road' driving?

sorry to read this, always sad to see a nice truck in that state. hope you can afford the rebuild mate

A wonderful part of the world, been there when I was younger but would love to go in the truck. Looks like you had a great trip

I think we will have to drive up after work on Friday or early Saturday morning. I'll have to grab someone's number before hand and hopefully meet up with you all somewhere. Looking forward to it
-
Mo, will you drive up on the Friday or Saturday morning?

Book 7 sisters and invite us all round!
Blimey, that's a big family. Will seven be enough for all of us?

Down near Biarritz is very nice. A lovely mesh of French and Basque influence, particularly the food. The Parque Natural del Señorío de Bértiz is just over the border and is fantastic but also nearby you have wonderful long beaches and some cracking hilly country around Hasparren. Bit of a drive though...

Let's all do a Southend to Brighton or Reading to Brighton trip. Sod London and sod the LEZ, why should it ruin our fun?
-
No it would be a ford flex (which tries to look like a range rover image)
makes you appreciate just how good a RR and RR Sport look

I understand he's been barred fom a funtera forum for this.
that's their membership down to 1 then.
On a serious note, for one day a year they should open it up to a limited number of vehicles anyway. you could apply in advance for a permit and be able to drive to the top if your vehicle is up to it. It's not overly challenging but would be a good experience.

Thanks Chris, thanks Mo. I'm not worried about a few dents and scratches, I just want to be able to get home on Sunday
Looking forward to it and so is the missus.

A 'shop I saw on Pirate:
... The damn thing's growing on me.
The school boy inside me got all excited seeing that. A bit flashy I'll grant you but it looks good and most importantly, it looks functional. It's not too much of a departure from the Defender but still modern enough to tick all the marketing boxes.
That is a different vehicle from the other pics isn't it? Or am I just being thick? It gets my approval
-
I'm so shocked I just asked my wife for her opinion - her immediate response was 'They've made a big mistake - its not a Defender'
Mine just said "Why? Why spoil a good thing?"
Just about sums it up really.
-
Are the lanes in the area quite challenging, both for the driver and the vehicle?
-
Well, I did tow a Frontera up Snowdon...
Ha ha ha
I did suspect it didn't get up there by itself!
