Yes, my Defender is LHD. I can take a picture of the arm tomorrow with wheels straight
But why does RAVE say to only take 2 turns back if this is not correct?
-
Should this arm always point straight ahead when in center?
Mine is pointing to right ( looking from the front) When aligning the steering I've followed the description from RAVE. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, then 2 turns back to the left.

I've used Biltema gauges for a couple years now, and they have been fine Not tach though.

What about fitting a permanment lid?

Any more suggestions?

Update: It now seems that the car is running ok again. It turns out that original Lucas coils can't tackle the Mallory dizzy, so we tried a different coil. That helped and it now runs pretty smooth
So I've now ordered a new Mallory coil. I'm pretty happy..

Thought so

Really nice car by the way

Did you do seal the inner arches?

Just I quick question. I earlier tried a different ECU and after about 10 min the check engine lamp went on. It was ECU for a RRC. Is it possible that the ECU is telling me that there is someting wrong?
-
I don't think I've not changed the tps. I read this thread and I've got the same problem.
However, I'm quite sure this is tested ok. I've got to start writing down what I've done with car
-
Ok. I now run a Mallory dizzy, so I don't use the original amp.
-
...and did you try it with the normal distributor fitted?
No, not yet
I do think the problem is related to fuel in someway, since the problems occurs whenever the engine is warm.
-
Thanks
-
Not all completely no. I don't remember which one we did.
-
Tried this. No difference
So, I give up...
I will either part the car, buy carbs or MS.
You can see how the rpm drops when I put in D and it after a while it dies.

Ok. Great thanks. Does it only opens when the engine is warm?
