Hi Guy's i went to look at a 3.5EFI RRC last night on a E plate! she is in mint condition but there is one thing holding me back and thats the engine it has only done 89000 miles but there is a tapping/ticking noise coming from high up in the engine. Now i dont know a lot about V8's is this something simple or could this be it a big problem any advice is appreciated cheers.

I can see where your coming from and have never stated you don't respect these lanes but with a comment like i referred to in this thread is damaging when in the wrong hands of the Anti's and i'm sure there are a couple who have a looky on this great club. So please think before posting.

Think also mudman what does not go down too well for me is " have tried it twice and so far its cost in the region of £1000 in damages between 3 cars allthough i did manage to get all the way down it last time without the winch but its so rough" because this is just the things the Anti's love to see and then create a load of rubbish to publish in some local Rag!! which in turn brings attention to said lane and pressure on the local council to then close said lane!!!

well to be honest if its a Byway then it should not be drivin if its that bad, so give it a couple of months or so then it will be TRO'D  thank youHi all ,i'm just wondering if anyone else on here has been down the lane known as "the lane from hell" its off the A4 **** in wiltshire........ have tried it twice and so far its cost in the region of £1000 in damages between 3 cars allthough i did manage to get all the way down it last time without the winch but its so rough. but it's well worth a look.

I had to get rid of the 110 Ralph i had no choice in that but if i can get a Ex mod 90 and i will still have the mondeo for work ;)you should have held on to the 110.have a look on here & while your up there you can buy me this

eh up Baz once it's in your blood that's it never getting rid i think witham will be out my price range. I have been on Eblag and the only thing that keeps popping up is an ex rapier truck i think my wife would murder me if i bought that . Ideally i would like an ragtop 90 .I new you couldn't stay awayWitham specialists are the main people for ex MOD, have you looked on ebay?

Jim shush this was just a cunning plan to get em of me trail Most of our's at work now have been refurbed as most of our wolfs are in sunnier climates and the ones that are not are U/S don't know whats made me go along the lines of wanting an Ex Mod 90 but really have the urge to get oneThere's usually loads parked by the back gate of your work.... along with trailers and all sorts...I'll give you a hand.....

Hi Guys im after a weekend weapon that i can play about with and tinker with over a long period of time. So what i would like is a Ex MoD 90 do you think i would be able to get a road legal 90 with a budget of 2k, i know it will have a 2.5 NAD engine but at a later date i will replace it with a 200Tdi so do you think this budget could work?? Thanks

Hi Guys, i had a phone call from my father who owns a 1998 300tdi ES discovery, he is having a slight problem and wondered if any of you gents had come across it. While driving along at 70mph it drives fine and rev's freely but when you approach traffic or a junction and let of the accelerator the revs suddenly die away it will just tick over and not rev and black smoke will come out the back!!! The only way to get it to rev again is turn it of and start it again and as you can tell this is pretty hairy when doing 70  This has only come apparent on long journeys not short distance ones any help is very appreciated
