  1. I have not noticed in the thread whether there are 4 or 5 wheels & tyres.

They look like deep dish alloys in the photo which I understand would be OK for my 110.

    Please confirm.

    MINESAPINT

eh up pint there is 4 alloys ;) and i don't know the diffrence between deep dish and boost :o but im sure there fine for a 110 as they have been on mine

  3. Does it complete the startup cycle and then blow hot air or is it cutting out before it ignites properly? Does it have a manual thermostat wired in? There are quite a few manuals for Eberspacher heaters available on their website.
It has a thermostat wired in and it starts to get hot then cut's out, i have covered most of there tech problems of the site, i just don't want to rip it apart and break it further i have also checked the fuel supply and that seems to be working fine.
  4. Hi guy's hope your all well, i've not been on for a while as im having to work for a living   but not now as i have done my ankle in............so was out this morning trying to warm up the 110 and after running my diesel heater it cut out after 5 mins so i took the fuse out and then replaced it and it started to work again but only for 5 mins any ideas as to why it's doing this.......

  5. get yourself to an auction my friend and not a 4x4 auction, a commercials auction. if you're looking at 3k for an old tdi, then you're looking in the wrong places. plenty of utilities, local authority and commercial user 110 van's get sold each year. in that application there's little competition for land rover. unless a rover has been really well looked after or undergone some sot of restoration, at 188k, there's a lot of wee bits that will be coming to the end of their lives. same with any car. unless you know the car well, there's a fair bit of risk there.

as i said, unless its well priced and been really well cared for, that's a lot of money for something which could leave you spending a lot of time lying underneath on your back in the cold. go with a critical eye pux, good luck.

Do'h i have just been and bought it   but lucky for me it's had all the bits that would need attention done i.e has a new rear cross member one new out rigger new bulkhead two nee foot wells!!! plus who ever welded the out rigger it was a work of art. The chassi has been waxoiled each year and all in all it's a nice truck with stright panels  and it just sat at 80mph for two hours on a private road   as soon as i get chance i will get some pics up etc etc :P Thanks guy's for all the advice
