The film props I've seen tend to be fresh and then "dressed" to fit. This one might be a bit to dressed.

A hearty slap is needed for that owner!
-
Go on, how did he drive it without a clutch?
-
Can't you use a 3.9 to provide you with your short engine?
Turners otherwise.
-
Oh good Lord, that's not good news. I've just ordered one too...
I assume you've not paid for it? The conversation I've had suggested I wouldn't need to unless I was happy?
If not ashtree, who else is recommended?
Cheers,
Mike

About time too, there are some diabolical contraptions I've seen plopped behind vehicles.

Well please use correct English on here, it's confusing for members who are dyslexic and for those who's first language might not be English.

And if I'm honest Richards do a cracking job, I've seen an original new LR chassis and a Richards chassis, the Richards one is designed to be galvanised with all the holes in the right places. The latest rules regarding what you can and can't register now have all changed.
-
It's not when they are in a static position, more when the axles are articulated or when you hit a pothole at 80mph.
It's a risky thing to do.
If you can calculate the maximum movement then it would be fine.
-
Yep, they have Bob, but they are only a little deep and don't protrude into the wheel arch much.
4-5 inches might be a little much.
-
You'd hit the top of the spring seats, so it wouldn't be possible.
I can't see a picture.
Also the forum has a suggestion on using proper English, we're pretty liberal with spelling and grammar, this might be pushing it a little.
Cheers,
Mike

Ah right, that'll be it then. I need the 110 bracket.
Cheers,
Mike

I think so, the picture of the chassis mount brackets doesn't look like the actual brackets, I might have to go to my local dealer to have a look!
Cheers again,
Mike

As ever Ralph, you're the master of parts! Many thanks, Mike

So slightly different I'm sticking a richards 130 chassis on a 110.
Called the DVLA and they told me I need to fill in the v5c to let them know of the change and they'll let me know.
The very helpful lady said it'll be a new vin number at most, she was doubtful it would need an IVA.
They really don't mind as long as you are replacing old with new... It's when you want to replace old with old that they get fidgety.
-
300 if you want to keep it...
-
To be fair, if you import your own then the US authorities shouldn't have a problem.
The crushed ones were all fishy imports.
-
Personally, given the price of petrol over there, I'd go for a v8, it's a much better experience.
If it falls through, I can recommend a local guy.

Hi Hhariri,
Welcome to the forum, where abouts in the UK I'd the vehicle? Perhaps someone could go and have a look at her for you.
The engine is long in the tooth, I'm not sure 65 would be considered it's cruising speed...
The key things are the chassis and bulkhead, if they are good you're golden.
Once you get it to the states are you able to modify it?
Cheers,
Mike

Or make it with a slide-fit tolerance and glue the bearing in? Technology is your friend today! It lets you design things that Victorians had to spend hours lapping together.
But as mentioned, it always looks to be about warping as the stress is relieved, rather than a size change.
Depends what type of bearing it is, some rely on a good hole.
-
If the size or finish is important you could get it ground / polished afterwards.
As said for a bearing fit, grinding/polishing is what you want.
