  1. It has been to bures pit, wildtracks offroad centre have a small place, you can hire a place at badwell ash which is the other side of bury st edmunds, and I take it to venture 4x4 which I think is the best place. It is in a small village called three holes in wisbech, very freindly guy that owns it and likes it to be looked after. Sometimes you can be the only one there, but he will only let a max of ten cars in there. If you want the next time we go to venture 4x4 I can contact you to see if you can get your bob over there. There is usually a group of us (all landy's and rangie's obviously!) around 6-8. My bob won't be out for a while as quite a bit of work is being done, such as a bodylift, beadlock wheels and 35" tyres. btw I am actually at LT Thurlow, which is about 4 miles from Haverhill.

    sounds good thankyou

    we should definatly get together

can you drive at 16 years old at these places and they dont need to be mot'd and stuff???

    thankyou

  2. Hi Dan,

Like you I am new to the forum, and I am only 16. I have a bobtailed rangie and can drive that at most places without any grumbles, unless they do specify a driving licence then I am passenger. Now this maybe that they don't have an age limit or because I am quite big for my age 5ft 11" and 13st so they don't ask. If I was you just drive until anyone says anything, unless obviously you require a full licence.

    Good Luck

    Rhys

  4. Hi Josh,

You would be better to go to the start point as I'm not sure Tixover will be used Saturday, plus you get to see all the entries before kick off :P and find out where the venues are for the day. OS Landranger for the area might be a good idea -141 I think. Kick off is at Castle Inn Caldecott near Rockingham :)

    Cheers

    Steveb

thankyou steve i will probably do that

    see you all there

  5. I'll send you a copy if you PM me your address.

I have had a go on 4x4 Evo, and 1nsane. After 3 minutes of 4x4 Evolution I couldn't be arsed any more (I'm not saying it's carp, I didn't really give it chance, but it didn't grab my attention). So I installed insane and thought it was a lot better. Was hooked on that for well over an hour.

would anybody be able to send me a copy of 1nsane and or 4x4 evo

    thankyou

  6. Josh,

You should buy that 4dr RRC bob I showed you pics of and keep the old one for bits :P go on you know you want to. Rollbar, guarded up underneath and little Dirt Devils perfect for what you want

    Steveb

    i very tempted

thanks for all the feed back

  7. hi

i was given a bobtailed ranger and the head gaskets gone and the transfer box has given in the wiring is a bit simple the dampers are slightly gone

now i have the choice of buying an old disco and doing it up as a pit car OR trying to repair the rangie

if i scrap the ranger is there any parts worth keeping/restoring e.g. axles ?(are good) engine could rebuild

    any advice would be grateful

  8.:lol: You know me Pete, hydro is part of my destiny ;) , might end up with electric/hydro back up for the 90(100) if it ever gets finished though :P . Just got my hoses to pipe up the rear winch so looking forward to getting it running. Here are a couple of pic's of the mk1 temporary get it on the back mount, and one of the change over valve...this is electrically operated <_< might need to add 2 batteries and another alternator and some allbrights to run it :P

Right , off to fit some pipes - and get covered in 46wt hydraulic oil I expect B)

    See you Sunday

    cheers

    Steveb

  9. As per title I have lost my Hi / lo selection and think this might be the reason

I would like to know if any of you have ever suffered this and what the cause might be?

As there are experts on this forum I would be pleased to have their advise

1/ get new/ used t-box and replace

2/ leave as is and see what happens :hysterical:

3/ panic like mad about the holes in my pockets :excl:

4/ order new gear and replace my self

6/ call a grownup (this option will require a name) :rtfm:

    whats your view on this?

    TIA

my lt95 has done the same thing. the gearbox and transfer case are in 1 case or cant be split so im told

also it hardly ever spins more wheel than 1 even if the difflock is engaged

  11. ive got a couple of mates who run the giggle pin twin housing and it works beautifully and i dont thinkk it is over pricey for what you get having used it its the power of a double line pull with the same speed as a single if that makes sence

  12. At the moment it's a VB app running on Windows. Being dot.net, it could be ported to anything else running the framework - eg a PDA - at least in theory. My experience tells me that the practice is a bit more tricky!

I've not touched it for a couple of weeks while my PC was being fixed - but I'll do some more soon.

I'll bring a copy to Wellington at the weekend if anyone wants a peek.

    Si

    will it be at sodbury
